As an 18 year old homeless teenage mother and high school drop

out, people told me, "You will never amount to anything." All I

can say is, "Look at me Now"

Live Everyday Like it's Your Last...Tomorrow is Not Promised to You!

Ready to Make a Change in Your Life
I know....Old habits die hard. Well, welcome to the site that will force you to look at your life differently. As women, we face many unique challenges. That's why it is important that we eliminate any barriers and find ways to support, empower and love one another.

No matter what anyone says...You have the power to break free from the chains that limit your personal growth, security and happiness. Sometimes all we need is to know that someone cares and understands what we’re going through.....That we are not alone. This site offers support, resources and information to help women & girls understand the importance of letting go and loving oneself.

Are You a Survivor?
In her award winning novel, "Rewriting the Script", Arlether Wilson, takes her readers inside the life of a remarkable little girl who was able to survive what many consider impossible. She believed in herself. Today she is a mentor for abused women and children……providing empowering lectures for women groups, churches, teens, parent groups and schools. Her story inspires and sends a message of hope and healing….if you’re here today…..you are a Survivor.

Raising Awareness About Teen Pregnancy
American cultures glorify sex and rarely stress prevention or responsibility. There are numerous campaigns designed to prevent teen pregnancy. Statistics argue that teen mothers are doomed, live in poverty, become high school drop outs and dependent on welfare. Well, I disagree. That’s just an opinion. Being a teenage mother does not limit or prevent a woman from pursuing her goals…from providing a positive future for her and her family. Many teen parents have defied the odds and became lawyers, doctors, teachers and even entrepreneurs.....Remember life is a journey….not a destination.

Struggling to Survive....Heal

1 in 4 adolescents report verbal, physical, emotional or sexual abuse. The numbers are the same for adult women who report being physically abused by a significant other. Although the numbers are not as astounding for men they are not excluded. It is important to remember that Love is not Abuse. If you are in a harmful situation or know someone who is Tell Someone. It’s a crime. There are people and organizations who want to help you.

Arlether is committed to ending domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence; child abuse, sexual abuse and helping survivors begin the healing process. If we want to end these crimes....we must change the way that we perceive them. We must affect change by implementing comprehensive prevention programs, increased public awareness and create better laws to protect the innocent…...and stiffer punishments for perpetrators.
